Cucumbers!
The children were very excited to pick the cucumber we have been growing in our nursery garden🥒
They enjoyed looking at how big it had grown and took turns holding it, feeling its “spiky” skin and talking about its shape.
We spoke about how it started as a tiny seed and what it needed to grow, including water, sunshine and lots of love🌞
The children were proud to see the results of watering our plants and looking after our plants.
Experiences like this help children understand where food comes from and it encourages curiosity about the world around them!
