Try this at Home - sensory cereal construction site!
This week's try this at home tuff tray is a sensory cereal construction site. 🚧👷🏗️
All you need is :
- A range of Cereal, oats, grains, ect.
- Some pens to create the roads.
- Some construction vehicles and figures.
Create a sensory construction site by drawing on some roads and adding various textures of Cereal as the 'building materials'. Depending on your child's age they may be able to help create the scene themselves.
This activity is great for imaginative role play as well as an opportunity for lots of language and mathematics development.
As you build create and role play with your little one ask lots of questions.....
I wonder what will happen if we..
can you find any shapes in the scene?
How many wheels / cars / people can you see?
Do you think we can build a tall / short / big / small tower?
